Covering Camden Park and the Macarthur region.
Mostly ducted work out here - big homes, big blocks, and systems that have to cover serious floor space.

Camden Park is about as local as it gets for us. Ben, the owner, lives in Menangle, literally around the corner. When a system dies out here you're not waiting on a tech driving down from the city - half the time we can be there the same morning. We know the properties, the long driveways and the big roof spaces.

About Us

30+ Years

Camden Park is semi-rural - acreage properties, farmhouses old and new, and a handful of quieter residential streets. The homes run big, with open plans and long roof runs, so systems out here need proper sizing and zoning to keep up without chewing power. Summers push past 40 and winter mornings frost up, so reverse cycle works hard both ways.

About Us

Air Conditioning in Camden Park

After air conditioning in Camden Park? We're just around the corner. Jay's Air has been at it since 1991 and Ben, the owner, lives in Menangle, the next suburb over. For the bigger homes out here, ducted runs $8,000 to $12,500 depending on size and zones. A 2.5kW split for one room is $1,800 to $2,100. 4.8 stars from 280+ reviews.

How fast can we get out? Quick. This is our backyard, not the far end of a service area. Same-day repairs are normal for Camden Park, and quotes don't involve waiting for someone to find the place on a map.

Sizing for acreage homes is a different game

The houses out here are bigger than the Sydney average, and the brochure sizing charts fall over on them. Open plans, high ceilings and west-facing glass mean a 4-bed farmhouse usually wants 14 to 16kW of ducted with proper zoning, not the 10kW a townhouse gets away with. Zoning matters double on acreage - you heat and cool the rooms you're in, not the whole homestead.

Pie chart showing heating and cooling accounts for 20 to 50 percent of home electricity use in Australian homes

Got a granny flat, studio or shed office? A split or multi-head sorts those without extending the ducted system. Run your numbers through our sizing calculator and check the pricing guide so you know what's fair before anyone quotes you.

Camden Park backs onto home turf. We're in Menangle, and we cover Camden South, Camden and Narellan from the same base. If you're on a back road out here, we've probably driven past your gate this week.

Ducted Air Conditioning in Camden Park

Most of the ducted air conditioning Camden Park asks us for goes into the bigger places - farmhouses and family homes on acreage. Mick runs our installs through the Macarthur area and has been on the tools with us since 2009. The typical job out here is 14 to 16kW with zoning, running $9,000 to $12,500, and long duct runs are bread and butter, not a surcharge surprise. Fixed quote before we start, a lifetime workmanship warranty on the install.

Why Camden Park Calls Jay's

Because the owner lives around the corner. Ben's in Menangle and the business runs from there, so Camden Park isn't the edge of our map - it's practically the driveway.

Mick Daly handles the ducted installs and has since 2009. Noah Hall does the splits and smaller jobs. Ben does quotes and diagnostics himself, and for air conditioning repairs Camden Park gets seen fast - usually same day, because we're coming from the next suburb, not the M5.

Pricing is fixed and upfront. We tell you the fault and the cost before we start, and the number doesn't move once we're in the roof. Installs carry our lifetime workmanship warranty, and repair parts a 12 month warranty.

New ducted system for a two-storey farmhouse

Problem

Two-storey farmhouse on acreage with no cooling upstairs and a couple of tired wall units downstairs. Big open living area, high ceilings, west-facing glass that turned the place into a greenhouse by 4pm.

Diagnosis

Mick fitted a 16kW Daikin ducted system with 8 zones across both floors. Long runs, two return airs, and zoning set so upstairs bedrooms run separate from the living areas. $12,200 on a fixed quote, done over three days, lifetime workmanship warranty.

Outdoor fan motor seized on an older ducted unit

Problem

Ten-year-old Panasonic ducted on a rural block, outdoor unit humming but the fan not spinning, system cutting out on its own protection. Owners feared the whole unit was done.

Diagnosis

Ben came out from Menangle the same morning. Seized outdoor fan motor, the rest of the unit healthy. Replaced the motor, checked the capacitor and run current while in there. $450 fitted and the system has years left in it.

Multi-head split for a granny flat and studio

Problem

Granny flat and a backyard studio office on the same property, neither with cooling, and the owners did not want two separate outdoor units cluttering the place.

Diagnosis

Noah fitted a Panasonic multi-head - one outdoor unit running three indoor heads across the flat and the studio. Tidy pipe runs, one power circuit, $7,200 all up on a fixed quote.

FAQs

Air Conditioning Camden Park - Common Questions

FAQs

Most acreage homes out here want 14 to 16kW with zoning, which runs $9,000 to $12,500 installed. Smaller 4-bedders land around $8,000 to $11,000 for 12.5kW. Fixed quote before any work starts.

Usually same day. Ben, the owner, lives around the corner in Menangle, so Camden Park is first on the run, not last. Call (02) 9820 4500.

A 2.5kW split at $1,800 to $2,100 sorts a single room. If you have a few spaces – flat plus studio, say – a multi-head running several indoor units off one outdoor unit is tidier and runs $6,500 to $8,500 for three rooms.

Jay’s Air. Family run since 1991, our own blokes not subbies, fixed pricing, 4.8 stars from 280+ reviews. Licence 273312C, ARCtick AU13058. And we are just around the corner in Menangle. (02) 9820 4500.

Air Conditioning Advice for Camden Park Homeowners

If you are planning a granny flat or studio, think about the cooling at build time, not after. Pipe runs and circuits are cheap to rough in during the build and annoying to retrofit. A multi-head off one outdoor unit keeps the yard tidy if you have a few spaces to cover.

For the older farmhouses, get the roof space looked at before anyone quotes ducted. Long runs and odd rooflines are fine - we do them all the time - but they should be priced upfront, not discovered halfway through. Our quotes are fixed for exactly that reason.
