Pay for your air conditioning over time
We are an accredited Brighte vendor. You choose the finance product, we do the install.

Jay's Air Conditioning is an accredited Brighte vendor, which means we can offer every Brighte finance product on air conditioning installs across Sydney, including the NSW Government's new Home Energy Saver loan: 0% interest, no fees, up to $15,000 over up to 10 years. If you have been searching for air conditioning finance Sydney wide, this page lays out exactly what each option costs, who is eligible and how the process works.

It applies to our ducted installs and split system installs alike. For system prices themselves, see our pricing guide.

The short version: you get your quote from us, apply with Brighte online in minutes, and once you are approved we book the install. Brighte pays us directly when the job is done and you have confirmed you are happy. You then repay Brighte fortnightly.

The numbers

What it costs per fortnight
On the Home Energy Saver loan you repay only what you borrow. Nothing more.

Here is what real job sizes look like on the 0% interest Home Energy Saver loan. No deposit, no establishment fee, no account keeping fees. The total you repay is the price of the system, nothing more.

$3,000 split system over 5 years: about $23.08 a fortnight. Total repaid: $3,000.

$8,000 multi-split or small ducted over 7 years: about $43.96 a fortnight. Total repaid: $8,000.

$12,000 ducted system over 10 years: about $46.15 a fortnight. Total repaid: $12,000.

$15,000 ducted system (the loan cap) over 10 years: about $57.69 a fortnight. Total repaid: $15,000.

That puts a full ducted reverse cycle system at roughly $23 a week. Check your own figures on the Brighte repayment calculator: pick "Home Energy Saver Loan", enter your quote amount and choose a term. These are estimates only and assume every repayment is made on time.

The numbers speak for themselves.

What being a Brighte accredited vendor means

Brighte does not let just anyone offer its finance. Every installer offering these products is vetted by Brighte and held to the NETCC Approved Seller standard, a nationally recognised consumer protection code. Jay's Air Conditioning has been through that vetting. The other protection built in: you never pay us upfront for a financed job. Brighte pays us directly, and only after you confirm the work is complete and you are happy with it.

The four Brighte products we offer

Home Energy Saver loan (the one we recommend you look at first). A 0% interest, no-fee loan funded by the NSW Government and delivered by Brighte. Borrow up to $15,000 over terms up to 10 years. $0 establishment fee, $0 account keeping fees, and you repay only what you borrow. Reverse cycle air conditioning (heating and cooling) is on the approved upgrade list, and the work must be done by an accredited installer like us. Full details on the Brighte Home Energy Saver loan page.

Brighte 0% Interest Payment Plan. 0% interest on $1,000 to $60,000 over 6 months to 10 years. There are fees: a $75 establishment fee on your first repayment date and a $2.30 weekly account keeping fee included in the repayments. Useful when a job is over the $15,000 Home Energy Saver cap or when you do not meet that program's eligibility rules.

Brighte HEUF Discounted Green Loan. A discounted 7.99% p.a. fixed rate (comparison rate 9.49% p.a.^) supported by the Clean Energy Finance Corporation's Household Energy Upgrades Fund. $2,000 to $60,000 over 2 to 10 years, establishment fee from $199 and $2.70 weekly account keeping fee. For air conditioning it covers non-ducted single-split systems only, and your property value must not exceed $2.5 million.

Brighte Green Loan. From 9.49% p.a. fixed (comparison rate 10.98% p.a.^) on $2,000 to $60,000 over 2 to 10 years, establishment fee from $199 and $2.70 weekly account keeping fee. The rate you are offered depends on your credit profile.

Every product: no fee for paying out early, and a $4.99 late payment fee may apply if you miss a repayment (late fees are capped at $49.90 a year).

Who is eligible for the Home Energy Saver loan

The headline rules, straight from Brighte: the property is in NSW and you own it (owner-occupier or landlord), your household's total taxable income does not exceed $210,000 a year, you are an Australian citizen or permanent resident, the property is not social housing or short-stay accommodation, and you meet Brighte's credit assessment. Most of the ducted and split reverse cycle systems we install fit the program requirements, and we confirm eligibility for your exact system when we quote. The approved upgrade list is maintained at energy.nsw.gov.au/home-energy-saver.

What you are actually signing up for

Being upfront about the obligations matters more to us than the sales pitch, so here it is. This is a loan, not a grant or a rebate: you repay every dollar you borrow. Repayments come out fortnightly by direct debit over the term you choose, and the term you pick sets the fortnightly amount. Your application goes through a credit assessment with Brighte, and the loan sits with Brighte, not with us; once the install is done, your repayments and any questions about the account go to Brighte directly. Miss a repayment and a $4.99 late fee may apply. Get ahead of it and there is no penalty: extra repayments and early payout are free on all four products.

From quote to cool air, step by step

1. We visit, measure up and give you a fixed quote, the same quote whether you pay cash or finance.
2. You apply with Brighte online. It takes minutes and approval for the Home Energy Saver loan is subject to the eligibility checks above.
3. Once approved, we book your install date.
4. Our crew does the install. Every install carries our lifetime workmanship warranty, and we are licensed (NSW 273312C) and ARCtick certified (AU13058).
5. You confirm the job is complete, Brighte pays us directly, and your fortnightly repayments start from there.

Which product should you pick?

That decision is yours. We are air conditioning people, not financial advisers, and nothing on this page is legal or financial advice. The Home Energy Saver loan is the cheapest option we have ever been able to offer, because a 0% rate with no fees means the fortnightly figure is simply the price divided by the term, but whether any loan suits your situation depends on your circumstances. Read the terms on brighte.com.au, compare the products, and get independent advice if you are unsure. Whatever you decide, the quote from us stays the same.

Rates, fees and eligibility criteria above are published by Brighte and current as at 25 July 2026; they can change and Brighte's website is always the authoritative source. All applications for credit are subject to Brighte's credit approval. Fees, terms and conditions apply. ^Comparison rates are calculated on an unsecured loan of $30,000 over 5 years with fortnightly repayments. WARNING: a comparison rate is true only for the example given and may not include all fees and charges. Different terms, fees or loan amounts might result in a different comparison rate. Jay's Air Conditioning is the installer, not the lender; all loans are provided and managed by Brighte.

Air Conditioning Finance FAQ

Yes. Jay’s Air Conditioning is an accredited Brighte vendor, so you can finance any ducted or split system install we quote. We offer all four Brighte products: the NSW Government funded Home Energy Saver loan at 0% interest with no fees, the 0% Interest Payment Plan, the HEUF Discounted Green Loan and the Brighte Green Loan.

A 0% interest, no-fee loan of up to $15,000 over terms up to 10 years, funded by the NSW Government and delivered by Brighte. It covers approved energy saving upgrades including reverse cycle air conditioning, installed by accredited installers. You repay only what you borrow: a $12,000 system costs about $46.15 a fortnight over 10 years, $12,000 all up.

Yes, two ways. The Home Energy Saver loan is 0% interest with no fees at all for eligible NSW households. Brighte’s 0% Interest Payment Plan is also 0% interest on up to $60,000, though it carries a $75 establishment fee and a $2.30 weekly account keeping fee. Both are genuine alternatives to paying thousands upfront.

On the 0% Home Energy Saver loan, a $12,000 ducted system over 10 years is about $46.15 a fortnight, and the maximum $15,000 loan is about $57.69 a fortnight. Because there is no interest and no fees, the fortnightly amount is simply the price divided by the number of fortnights. Run your own numbers on the Brighte calculator.

You need to own the property (owner-occupier or landlord), the property must be in NSW and not social housing or short-stay accommodation, your household’s total taxable income must not exceed $210,000 a year, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, and you must pass Brighte’s credit assessment. Eligibility criteria and approved upgrade requirements apply.

No, it is a loan. You repay the full amount you borrow, just without interest or fees. The NSW Government funds the program so eligible households can spread the cost of energy saving upgrades without paying more than the purchase price. The NSW Government has also flagged discounts for lower-income households; check energy.nsw.gov.au for the latest.

Yes. All four Brighte products have no fee for early repayment, so you can make extra repayments or pay the balance out whenever you like. On the 0% products, paying out early does not save you interest because there is none; it just clears the debt sooner.

Brighte may apply a $4.99 late payment fee, and late fees are capped at $49.90 a year. If your circumstances change, talk to Brighte early; the loan is provided and managed by Brighte, so repayment questions go to them directly. We stay your point of contact for anything about the system itself.

That is your decision to make, and this page is general information, not legal or financial advice. The Home Energy Saver loan is the cheapest structure on paper (0% interest, no fees) but has eligibility rules and a $15,000 cap. Compare the products on brighte.com.au, read the terms and get independent advice if unsure. Our quote stays the same either way.

Brighte vets every installer allowed to offer its finance, and installers offering the Home Energy Saver loan must be NETCC Approved Sellers, a nationally recognised consumer protection standard. It also changes how money flows: you never pay us upfront on a financed job. Brighte pays us directly once you confirm the install is complete, then you repay Brighte fortnightly.
