Covering Brookvale and the Northern Beaches.
Coastal conditions, older brick homes, and a lot of ducted work - we know this area.

Brookvale sits between the Northern Beaches commercial strip and the residential streets of Manly Vale and Freshwater. We get called out here regularly for everything from ducted replacements in 1960s brick homes to commercial cassette systems in the Pittwater Road industrial area. Salt air from the coast takes a toll on outdoor units over time - it's something we factor in when recommending systems for this area.

About Us

30+ Years

Housing around Brookvale is mostly 1960s and 70s brick homes on decent-sized blocks. The suburb also has a large commercial and light industrial precinct. Homes in this area typically suit ducted air conditioning if the roof space allows - and most do. Units and townhouses in the newer developments near Manly Vale usually go for a high-wall split or a slim-duct system.
About Us

Air Conditioning in Brookvale

Brookvale is Northern Beaches country. The housing stock is mostly 1960s and 70s brick homes on proper-sized blocks, with a big commercial and industrial strip running along Pittwater Road. We get called out here for ducted replacements, new installs in homes that have never had refrigerated air, and repair work on systems beaten up by years of coastal salt air. It is a busy run for us.

What works in Brookvale homes

For the older brick homes through Brookvale, Manly Vale, and Freshwater, a ducted system is usually the right call. Most of these homes have reasonable roof cavities that work well for ducted ductwork. A typical 4-bedroom Brookvale home is looking at a 10-12kW Panasonic or Daikin system with 6-8 zones. Salt air from the coast is a real factor here - we always recommend systems with good corrosion protection on the outdoor unit. Use the sizing calculator to get a rough idea of what you need, or get a ducted cost estimate before calling us out.

For units and townhouses, a high-wall split is usually the go. Strata rules on the Northern Beaches vary - some buildings are straightforward, others require specific mounting positions for the outdoor unit. We check the strata requirements before quoting. If you want a number upfront, get a split system quote online.

We also do a lot of work in the Brookvale Trade Park and the commercial strip on Pittwater Road. Cassette systems, rooftop package units, and multi-zone commercial installs are all in our wheelhouse. Commercial enquiries go through Jay directly on (02) 9820 4500.

We cover Brookvale and the surrounding areas including Miranda, Hurstville, Caringbah, and Engadine. Jobs in this area run Monday to Friday 7am-5pm, Saturdays by arrangement. Call (02) 9820 4500 to book.

Air Conditioning Repairs in Brookvale

Coastal conditions accelerate wear on air conditioning systems. Salt air corrodes outdoor unit coils and contacts over time, which is why we see a higher rate of refrigerant leaks and fan motor failures in Northern Beaches suburbs. We carry out repairs across Brookvale Monday to Friday. Most calls are attended within 1-2 business days. Phone (02) 9820 4500.

Why Brookvale Calls Jay's

We have been doing this since 1991. Over 30 years of air conditioning installs and repairs across greater Sydney, including regular work on the Northern Beaches. We understand the coastal conditions, we know the housing stock, and we know which systems hold up well in salt air environments.

All our installs are done by our own crew. No subcontractors, ever. Mick Daly runs ducted installs in the Northern Beaches area. Noah Hall handles split system work. Ben handles diagnostics and repairs. You deal with the same people from the quote through to the job being done. Read about how the process actually works.

Panasonic is our primary brand for the Northern Beaches. Their outdoor units have solid corrosion resistance for coastal environments. We also supply and install Daikin and Actron Air. Every brand we recommend is one we are comfortable servicing for the long term - we do not push units we cannot back up.

Fixed pricing. You get a written quote before anything gets ordered. If something unexpected comes up on the day, we call you before we do anything that changes the cost. No surprises. More about why people keep coming back to us.

Air Conditioning FAQs - Brookvale

A standard ducted install for a 3-4 bedroom home in Brookvale typically runs between $12,000 and $16,000 depending on system size, zone count, and roof access. The 1960s and 70s brick homes in this area usually have good ceiling cavities which keeps install costs reasonable. Call us for a fixed-price quote – (02) 9820 4500.

Yes, it does. Salt air corrodes outdoor unit coils, electrical contacts, and fan motor bearings faster than inland suburbs. We see more frequent refrigerant leaks and PCB faults in coastal areas. When we install in Brookvale, we recommend Panasonic units which have good corrosion resistance ratings. Annual servicing is also more important here than it is in western suburbs.

Yes, as long as strata approval is in place. Most Brookvale apartments and townhouses can accommodate a high-wall split with the outdoor unit on the balcony or in a designated plant area. Some buildings have restrictions on external unit placement – we check this before quoting so there are no surprises. Call (02) 9820 4500 to discuss your situation.

Air Conditioning Advice for Brookvale Homeowners

The combination of hot summers and coastal salt air means systems in Brookvale work harder and degrade faster than in western suburbs. Annual servicing is more important here - a clean and checked system runs more efficiently and lasts longer. We carry out annual service calls across the Northern Beaches through winter when the systems are not being used. If you are considering a ducted system, Panasonic is our recommendation for this area. Their outdoor units have solid factory corrosion protection and good warranty terms. Daikin and Actron Air are also solid choices. We do not supply brands we cannot fully support post-install.
