Covering Beaumont Hills and the Hills District.
A mix of ducted extensions, split installs and replacements. Most Beaumont Hills homes were built between the late 1990s and 2010s with varied air con setups.

Beaumont Hills sits between Rouse Hill and Castle Hill - we're on this side of the district most weeks. The suburb is newer than much of the Hills District, which means the air con situation varies more than in the older established suburbs. Some homes came with ducted, some with a single split, some with nothing at all.

The top-up jobs are common here. Adding bedrooms to an existing ducted system, installing a second split for the master, or replacing a builder's unit that's now 12 years old and struggling. We handle all of it.

Good ceiling access on most homes. Air con setups vary - some homes have full ducted, others have a single split from the original build.
About Us

Air Conditioning in Beaumont Hills

Beaumont Hills is one of the newer Hills District suburbs - most of the housing stock was built between the late 1990s and mid-2010s. Homes are a mix of single and double-storey, mostly rendered brick or clad, on smaller blocks than the older Hills suburbs. The suburb sits between Rouse Hill and Castle Hill, and we're in this area regularly.

Because most homes here are relatively new, the air conditioning setups are more varied than in older suburbs. Some homes were built with full ducted as standard. Others came with no air con at all, or just a single split in the living area. We see a lot of top-up jobs in Beaumont Hills - adding zones to an existing ducted system, or installing splits in the bedrooms that were never covered. It's also common to find builder-grade systems that were included in the original build and are now 12 to 15 years old and costing more to run than a new unit would.

What System Does a Beaumont Hills Home Need?

For a typical 4-bedroom Beaumont Hills home you're looking at an 8 to 10kW ducted system with 4 or 5 zones if ducted isn't already installed. Double-storey homes with north or west-facing glass often need a 12kW system to keep up with the load. Use our ducted cost calculator to get a realistic price range. If you only need to cover a bedroom or two, our split system quote tool gives a fixed price in a few minutes.

If you're not sure what size you need, our sizing calculator factors in your ceiling height, window orientation and insulation. Undersizing is the most common mistake we see in newer Beaumont Hills homes - a system that's too small will run all day and still not hit temperature.

We cover Beaumont Hills and nearby Rouse Hill, The Ponds, Kellyville, and Castle Hill.

Ducted Air Conditioning in Beaumont Hills

Beaumont Hills has a mix of ducted and split system setups - some homes were built with full ducted, others got a single split and nothing else. We handle both ends. Ducted extensions and replacements, single and multi-head split installs, and repairs and servicing on all brands. If you're not sure what your home needs, we'll look at the layout, ask a few questions, and tell you straight what makes sense and what it'll cost.

Why Beaumont Hills Calls Jay's Air

Jay's Air covers Beaumont Hills as part of our regular Hills District run. The suburb is close enough to our base that we can usually get a quote done within a few days and schedule the install without a long wait.

Fixed Prices for Every Job in Beaumont Hills.

Every ducted replacement and split install we quote is a fixed price. What we quote is what you pay. No day rates, no callout fees on top, no surprises when the invoice arrives. If a job takes longer than expected, that's our problem, not yours.

Mick Daly runs our Hills District install team and has been with us since 2009. He knows the suburb well - the estate layouts, the roof pitches, the typical ceiling space in the homes built in different eras of the development. That local knowledge matters when it comes to quoting accurately and installing cleanly. A lot of install problems come from underestimating a job at the quote stage - Mick doesn't do that.

We don't subcontract our work to other companies. The crew that turns up for your job works directly for us. That's important when you need to follow up on anything after the job is done.

We're fully licensed - NSW Contractor Licence 273312C, ARCtick AU13058 - and we carry public liability and workers comp on every job. We operate Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm, with Saturday work available by arrangement. If something isn't right after we leave, we come back and fix it. That's not a guarantee buried in fine print - it's just how we operate.

We're a family business, and the owner is accountable for every job that goes out under our name. When something goes wrong - and occasionally things do - you're not dealing with a call centre. You're dealing with the person who sent the crew out. That matters when you need something sorted quickly.

Ducted Replacement - Beaumont Hills

Problem

A family in Beaumont Hills called after their ducted system stopped cooling the upstairs bedrooms entirely. The unit was a 2007 Mitsubishi 8kW ducted - original to the home. It was running but couldn't get upstairs below 28 degrees on hot days. They'd had it serviced twice in the last two years with no lasting improvement.

Diagnosis

Mick assessed the system and found the indoor unit coil was restricted and the compressor was drawing high amps - near end of life. The 8kW unit was also undersized for the home as extended. Replaced with a 10kW Daikin 5-zone system. Old unit removed and disposed of. Fixed price $7,200, installed in one day.

Multi-Split Install - Beaumont Hills

Problem

A couple in Beaumont Hills had a 6-zone ducted system that covered the downstairs well but didn't extend to a study and media room they'd converted from a garage. The rooms were separated from the main house structure and running new ductwork wasn't practical without significant ceiling work.

Diagnosis

Noah installed a Mitsubishi 2-head multi-split: a 2.5kW wall unit in the study and a 3.5kW unit in the media room, both running off a single outdoor head. Clean cable run along the garage external wall. No ceiling access required. Total $3,100 fully installed.

Refrigerant Leak Repair - Beaumont Hills

Problem

A 4-year-old split system in a Beaumont Hills master bedroom stopped cooling completely. The owner assumed it just needed a regas - the system was blowing air but the air wasn't cold. Refrigerant smell noted near the indoor unit.

Diagnosis

Ben found a pinhole leak at the indoor unit flare connection - a common failure point on this brand and model when the flare is overtightened during install. Repaired the flare fitting, pressure tested the system, recharged with 600g of R32. Cost $420. System cooling normally at recheck.

At 12 years, most units are approaching end of useful life. If it’s still cooling adequately and the repair cost is under $400, fix it. If the compressor is failing or the repair cost is over half what a new unit costs, replace it. A new unit carries a 5-year warranty and uses less electricity. We’ll give you an honest assessment.

Yes, in most cases. Most ducted systems in Beaumont Hills homes can have zones added if the controller and zone board support it. Air Conditioning Advice for Beaumont Hills Homeowners

The rendered brick and clad homes in Beaumont Hills retain heat differently to older brick homes in suburbs like Baulkham Hills. West-facing glass in particular drives up the load on hot afternoons. Factor that in when sizing - a unit that barely keeps up in autumn won't cope in January. Jay's Air has been quoting and installing in Beaumont Hills since the suburb was built. Get the system sized correctly the first time.
