Covering Oatley and the St George area.
Oatley's big established homes are ideal for ducted, and most of our work here is replacing or retrofitting.

Oatley is one of the leafier St George pockets, big established homes on good blocks, plenty of them renovated up over the years and a fair few near the water. They suit ducted, and we do both ends of it, replacing tired systems and retrofitting ducted into homes that never had it. We've worked St George since 1991 with our own crew.

Ducted in Oatley's Established and Renovated Homes

A lot of Oatley homes have been renovated and extended over the years, which is the perfect time to get ducted in or upgrade an old system to suit the new layout. The established brick homes here have good roof space, so we run the ducting cleanly and zone it to how the renovated house actually works. For the homes still on an ageing system, a modern inverter cools far better for less.

We run Panasonic, Daikin and Actron and service every brand. Mick handles the bigger jobs, on the tools since 2009.

Check our sizing calculator and pricing guide. We also cover Blakehurst, Connells Point and Hurstville, and for repairs see our ducted repairs page. Our main Oatley page covers all our local services.

Ducted Installs and Replacements in Oatley

For Oatley's established and renovated homes we do both fresh ducted installs and replacements of ageing systems. A renovation is the ideal moment to put ducted in or re-zone to the new layout, and these brick homes take it cleanly. Ducted air conditioning in Oatley done with proper zoning cools the whole home evenly and quietly, and heats it in winter too.

FAQs

Ducted Air Conditioning Oatley - Common Questions

FAQs

A standard four-bedroom home runs about $9,500 to $12,000 for a fully installed zoned system, and a big renovated or two-storey home 16kW job lands $12,000 to $14,000. We size and quote off your floor plan.

A renovation is the perfect time. The roof’s often open and we can run the ducting cleanly and zone it to the new layout. Get it priced while the planning’s happening so it’s built in rather than retrofitted later.

If it’s twenty-plus years and the compressor or board’s gone, replace it. A modern inverter cools better and runs far cheaper, and since the ductwork usually stays, it’s cheaper than a full re-do. We’ll give you the honest call.

Ducted Advice for Oatley Residents

On a replacement the ducting usually stays, so it's mostly new units and a controller. Don't assume you need the whole lot redone, we'll tell you what's worth keeping.

Size to the floor plan, not bigger. For most Oatley homes the right size is 12kW to 16kW. An oversized system short-cycles and wears out early.
