We cover the whole Hills District: Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills, Kellyville, Bella Vista, Cherrybrook, Rouse Hill, Glenhaven, Dural, Kenthurst, West Pennant Hills and Norwest. It's the biggest ducted market in Sydney, big brick family homes and acreage, nearly all of it on ducted. A huge wave of 90s and 2000s systems is now hitting replacement age, which is most of our Hills work. We've worked the Hills since 1991 with our own crew.

The Hills Ducted Replacement Wave

The Hills is the biggest ducted market in Sydney, and right now it's a replacement market. The estates that went up through the 90s and 2000s all got ducted from the builder, and those systems are now twenty to twenty-five years old and dropping parts. The ductwork in these deep roof cavities is nearly always sound, so a replacement is mostly new units and a controller, and a modern inverter cools the big floor plans far better for less. Out on the acreage at Dural and Glenhaven we go bigger, 18kW to 20kW, with heavy zoning.

We run Panasonic, Daikin and Actron, Mick runs the Hills installs since 2009.

Check our sizing calculator and pricing guide, and our ducted pages for Castle Hill, Kellyville, Dural and Cherrybrook. For repairs see our ducted repairs page.

Ducted Replacements and Acreage Installs in the Hills

Across the Hills we replace tired builder and original systems and install big zoned ducted on the acreage homes. The established homes through Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills and Cherrybrook are prime replacement territory, and out at Dural, Glenhaven and Kenthurst it's 18kW to 20kW systems with heavy zoning for the floor space. Ducted air conditioning in the Hills, done with proper zoning, is the only sensible way to cool a home this size.

FAQs

Ducted Air Conditioning Hills District - Common Questions

FAQs

All of them: Castle Hill, Baulkham Hills, Kellyville, Bella Vista, Cherrybrook, Rouse Hill, Glenhaven, Dural, Kenthurst, West Pennant Hills, Norwest and the rest. We’ve worked the Hills since 1991.

A standard four-bedroom home runs about $9,500 to $12,000 for a fully installed zoned system, a big two-storey 16kW job $12,000 to $15,000, and a sprawling acreage home up to $17,000-plus. We size and quote off your floor plan.

If it’s twenty-plus years and dropping parts, yes. A modern inverter cools the big floor plans better and runs far cheaper, and since the ductwork in these deep roof cavities usually stays, it’s cheaper than a full re-do.

Ducted Advice for Hills District Residents

Size to the floor plan, not bigger. Most Hills homes land 14kW to 18kW, the big acreage homes up to 20kW. An oversized system short-cycles and wears out early.

On a replacement the ducting in these deep roof cavities is nearly always sound, so it's mostly new units and a controller. We'll tell you what's worth keeping.
