Covering Castle Hill and the Hills District.
Most of our Castle Hill work is replacing tired ducted systems in big established homes.

Castle Hill's full of big brick homes on proper blocks, and nearly all of them run ducted. A lot went in through the 90s and early 2000s, which means they're now twenty-odd years old and on the way out. That's most of what we do up here, swapping a dead system for a new one and getting the zoning right. We've been doing it since 1991, our own crew, no subbies.

Castle Hill

Castle Hill runs from established 1970s-90s full-brick homes to bigger two-storey builds from the 2000s, most on 600sqm-plus blocks with deep roof cavities. Big floor plans built for ducted, and a lot of the original Carrier, Actron and Brivis systems are now past their use-by.

About Us

Ducted Air Conditioning in Castle Hill

After ducted air conditioning in Castle Hill? For a typical big Castle Hill home you're looking at roughly $9,500 to $13,000 for a fully installed zoned system, and most jobs up here are replacing a worn-out one. We've done it since 1991, our own crew, fixed quote before we start. 4.8 stars from 280+ reviews.

How much is ducted in Castle Hill? A standard four-bedder runs about $9,500 to $12,000 zoned. A big two-storey with five or six bedrooms wants a 16kW to 18kW system and lands around $12,000 to $15,000. The bigger the roof and the more zones, the higher it climbs, and we size it off your actual plan.

Replacing the 20-Year-Old System in a Castle Hill Home

The estates that went up around Castle Hill in the 90s and early 2000s all got ducted from the builder, and those systems are now hitting twenty to twenty-five years. That's the age they start dropping compressors and fan motors and chewing power. The good news is the ductwork in the roof is nearly always still sound, so a replacement is mostly a new indoor and outdoor unit and a fresh controller, which keeps the cost well down on a full re-do.

We run Panasonic, Daikin and Actron and we'll tell you straight which suits your place. Mick runs our Hills installs and has been on the tools since 2009.

Have a play with our sizing calculator or check the pricing guide. We also cover Baulkham Hills, Cherrybrook and West Pennant Hills, and if your system's playing up rather than dead, see our ducted repairs page. For all our air con in the area, here's our main Castle Hill page.

Replacing an Ageing Ducted System in Castle Hill

Replacement is the bread and butter of our Castle Hill work. A twenty-year-old ducted system isn't worth pouring money into once the compressor or board goes, and a new inverter system will cool better and cost a lot less to run. Because the ducting usually stays, a ducted air conditioning replacement in Castle Hill is quicker and cheaper than people expect, often done in a day. We reuse what's good and replace what's gone.

FAQs

Ducted Air Conditioning Castle Hill - Common Questions

FAQs

A standard four-bedroom Castle Hill home runs about $9,500 to $12,000 for a fully installed zoned system. A big two-storey wants 16kW to 18kW and lands around $12,000 to $15,000. Most of our jobs up here are replacements, and we give a fixed quote off your floor plan.

Past twenty years it’s usually replace. Once the compressor or board goes on a system that age, you’re throwing good money after bad, and a new inverter system runs far cheaper. The ductwork normally stays, so it’s quicker and cheaper than a full re-do. We’ll give you the honest call.

Most replacements that reuse the existing ducting are done in a single day. A first-time install with new ductwork through the roof takes a bit longer. We tell you upfront when we quote.

Ducted Advice for Castle Hill Residents

Bigger isn't better with ducted. An oversized system short-cycles, costs more to run and wears out early. For most Castle Hill homes the right size lands between 14kW and 18kW depending on the floor plan. We measure properly rather than guess.

If your ducting is sound, a replacement is mostly the units and controller, so don't assume you need the whole lot redone. We'll tell you what's worth keeping.
