At 20 years, you’re usually better off replacing. Parts get thin on older Carrier and Actron systems, and if the compressor or heat exchanger goes, it’s often not worth fixing. If the repair is under 30% of a replacement cost, fix it. If it’s more, replace. We’ll give you an honest call on the day.

Air Conditioning Advice for Cherrybrook Homeowners

Cherrybrook homes were mostly built in the 1980s and 1990s with ducted as standard. If your system is original to the home, it has probably done its time. A modern inverter system uses less power, cools more evenly, and comes with a 12-month warranty on parts and labour.

Where ducted is not practical - townhouses, granny flats, home offices - a 2.5kW to 5kW split does the job cleanly. Use the sizing calculator for guidance on what kW suits your space.
