Covering Mortdale and the surrounding St George suburbs.
Our Mortdale work is mostly ducted replacements and repairs in the older brick homes, plus splits for units near Morts Road.

Mortdale is a quiet, well-kept suburb on the East Hills line, sitting between Penshurst and Peakhurst. The housing stock is mostly 1960s to 70s brick veneer on standard blocks, with a cluster of units and older semis along the Morts Road commercial strip. We do a regular amount of ducted replacements here - a lot of those 60s systems are well and truly done - along with repairs on split systems in the units and a fair bit of service work for homeowners who've been in the same place for 30-plus years.

Mortdale is a settled, residential suburb in the St George area - on the East Hills train line, between Penshurst and Peakhurst. Most of the housing is from the 1960s and 70s - brick veneer homes on standard blocks, compact, well-kept, with single-storey layouts that are easy to work in. Along Morts Road there's a mix of units and older semis where we're regularly called for split installs and repairs.

Replacing Aging Ducted Systems in Mortdale Homes

A lot of Mortdale homes are on their second or third round of air conditioning now. The original systems from the 80s went, the replacement from the early 2000s is starting to go. For a typical Mortdale 3 to 4-bedroom brick veneer home, a 10kW to 12kW ducted system is the right fit - enough capacity with a couple of zones, clean install in the accessible single-storey cavity.

Air conditioning repairs Mortdale homeowners call us for most often are on older split systems near the commercial strip and aging ducted systems in the residential streets. Refrigerant leaks, dead capacitors, and fan motor failures are the most common. We carry the parts for Daikin, Mitsubishi, Fujitsu, Panasonic, Carrier and most other brands and can usually fix it same visit.

For split system installation Mortdale units along Morts Road and the older semis converted to units are the most common call - a 2.5kW or 3.5kW wall split handles most of those spaces well and is done in a half-day visit.

We cover Mortdale along with nearby suburbs including Penshurst, Peakhurst, and Hurstville. Use the air conditioning size calculator or see the pricing guide.

Air Conditioning Advice for Mortdale Homeowners

Brick veneer homes in Mortdale are generally straightforward for ducted air conditioning - good access, flat terrain, clean roof cavities. If you're replacing an older system, it's a good time to review the zone layout and add any rooms that weren't included first time around.

For units along Morts Road or older converted semis, a wall-mounted reverse-cycle split is the practical option. Most strata plans here allow a standard bracket mount on the rear of the building. Check pricing here or give us a call and we'll talk it through.
