Covering Moorebank and the South West Sydney region.
Plenty of new-estate ducted installs here, plus repairs on the older homes near the river.

Moorebank is a short hop from our Liverpool base, so we are over this side of the river all the time. We do a lot of work in the Georges Fair estate where the newer homes are getting ducted put in, and just as much on the older brick places closer to the river that need a tired system sorted. We know the area and we are quick to get to you.

30+ Years

Moorebank has got two faces. The established streets near the Georges River have solid brick homes from the 70s and 80s, plenty with the roof space for ducted. Then there is the Georges Fair estate with newer two-storey homes built for ducted from the start. Townhouses around there usually run splits.
About Us

Air Conditioning in Moorebank

Want air conditioning in Moorebank? Jay's has been at it since 1991. Ducted for a new Georges Fair two-storey runs $9,500 to $12,000, and a split is about $2,400. New homes here are built for zoned ducted, and that's most of our work. 4.8 stars from 280+ reviews.

Moorebank cops the western Sydney heat and the newer two-storey homes can turn into an oven upstairs by mid-afternoon. Sorting air conditioning Moorebank families can count on is the difference between using your upstairs rooms in summer or shutting the doors and hiding downstairs.

Sizing matters more in a two-storey home. Heat rises, so the upstairs needs more grunt than people expect. For a typical 4 bedroom home in the Georges Fair estate you are looking at a ducted system around 14kW to 16kW, zoned so upstairs and downstairs run separately. A single-storey brick home closer to the river usually does the job on 10kW to 12.5kW. Our sizing calculator gives you a starting point.

New two-storey estate homes

The Georges Fair homes were mostly built ducted-ready, so a new install is straightforward. We size it to the floor plan, zone the levels, and run Panasonic, Daikin or Actron depending on the budget. A proper zoned ducted system in one of these homes lands around $9,000 to $12,500.

For the older homes near the river, a ducted replacement or a couple of splits both work. If the old ducted gear is on its way out, we swap it. If you just want the living areas and main bedroom done, splits are cheaper and quick. Have a look at our pricing page for the ranges.

We cover all of Moorebank, from Georges Fair through to the older streets by the river. We are right across the water in Liverpool, and we are often on jobs in nearby Casula and Chipping Norton. Give us a bell.

Ducted Air Conditioning in Moorebank

Ducted air conditioning Moorebank homes, especially the two-storey ones in Georges Fair, are built for it. One quiet system cools the whole house from the roof and zoning lets you run upstairs and downstairs separately, so you are not paying to cool an empty level. We size it to your floor plan and install Panasonic, Daikin or Actron. Mick handles our bigger ducted jobs and has been with us since 2009.

Zoned ducted install in a Georges Fair two-storey

Problem

Brand new owners of a two-storey in Georges Fair had no air con and the upstairs was unbearable by lunchtime.

Diagnosis

Installed a 16kW Daikin ducted system with separate zones for each level, so they can cool upstairs at night and downstairs during the day. Tidy ceiling install. $11,900 supplied and fitted.

Splits in an older brick home near the river

Problem

Older couple in a single-storey brick home wanted the lounge and two bedrooms cooled without the cost of full ducted.

Diagnosis

Fitted a 7.1kW Panasonic in the open lounge and a 2.5kW split in each bedroom. Quiet, efficient, and a lot cheaper than ducting the whole house. $5,600 for the lot.

Ducted not cooling upstairs in Moorebank

Problem

Five year old ducted system was cooling downstairs fine but doing nothing upstairs. Owner thought the whole unit was shot.

Diagnosis

Turned out to be a failed zone motor on the upstairs damper, not the unit. Replaced the motor, balanced the zones, all cooling properly again. Call-out plus $390 for the part and labour.

FAQs

Air Conditioning Moorebank - Common Questions

FAQs

For a typical two-storey Georges Fair home you are looking at $9,000 to $12,500 for a properly zoned ducted system, depending on the kW and number of zones. Single-storey homes nearer the river cost less. We quote a fixed price before we start.

Usually one of two things. Either the system was never sized or zoned right for a two-storey, or a zone motor or damper has failed. Heat rises, so upstairs always needs more cooling. We check the zoning and the dampers and tell you what is actually going on.

Course. Splits are perfect for that. One in the living area and one in each bedroom you want done. Cheaper than ducting the whole place and quick to install. We talk you through what suits your home.
