Covering Ingleburn and the Macarthur Region.
Ingleburn is a mix of older homes needing repairs and newer estates where ducted air conditioning is the default.

Ingleburn covers a wide range of housing - from 1960s and 1970s brick homes near the station and along the industrial edges, to the newer housing estates built out from the 1990s onwards. The older homes need repairs and first-time installs. The newer estates mostly have ducted systems that are either brand-new or getting their first replacement. We do a fair bit of work through here on the way to Campbelltown and Minto.

30+ Years

Ingleburn has two distinct housing profiles. Older homes near the station are 1960s to 1980s brick and fibro on standard blocks of 500 to 700 square metres, mostly suited to splits or ducted retrofits. The newer estate homes from the 1990s and 2000s are project-built on smaller blocks but purpose-designed for ducted with 4 to 6 zones.

Ducted Air Conditioning Ingleburn - New Estates and Older Homes

Ducted air conditioning Ingleburn homes in the newer estates are often designed with central return air already roughed in, which makes new installs or replacements straightforward. Older homes near the station are a different story - we check the roof cavity depth and the layout before recommending ducted versus a split-system approach.

Air conditioning repairs Ingleburn homeowners call about most often are zone motor faults on ducted systems in homes built between 1995 and 2005, and refrigerant leaks on older splits. Ben does diagnostics in this area regularly and can usually get a repair done same week.

We cover Ingleburn as part of our regular Macarthur run, alongside Minto, Macquarie Fields and Campbelltown. Check the sizing calculator or the pricing guide.

Ducted Air Conditioning Ingleburn

Ducted air conditioning Ingleburn is one of the main things we do in this suburb. The newer estate homes are built for ducted - if yours was built post-1995, it almost certainly has the return air and rough-in already there. We assess the existing setup and recommend the right system size for the zone count and the heat load. Air conditioning repairs Ingleburn homeowners need are also a regular part of our Macarthur run - zone motors, capacitors, refrigerant top-ups and PCB faults are the most common jobs. Ben does the diagnostic and calls with a fixed quote before any work starts.

Ducted Install - Ingleburn Estate Home

Problem

A 4-bedroom estate home in Ingleburn built in 2001 had never had air conditioning installed despite having return air roughed in during construction. The family had been using fans through summer.

Diagnosis

Mick installed a 14kW Panasonic 5-zone ducted system using the existing rough-in. All ductwork new, zones covering all bedrooms, living and main lounge. Total cost: $10,800.

Split Install - Older Ingleburn Brick Home

Problem

A 1972 brick home near Ingleburn station had no cooling. The owner wanted the main bedroom and the lounge cooled without the cost and disruption of a full ducted retrofit.

Diagnosis

Noah installed a 5kW Daikin in the lounge and a 2.5kW Panasonic in the main bedroom. Both done in one day. Total cost: $4,200.

Ducted Repair - Zone Motors and Leak

Problem

A 2003 Carrier ducted system in an Ingleburn estate home had two zones stuck open and the system was running but barely cooling. The owners had already had a regas that lasted six months before the problem came back.

Diagnosis

Ben found two failed zone motors and a refrigerant leak at the indoor unit flare connection. Fixed both zone motors and re-flared the leaking joint. Total cost: $490.

FAQs

Air Conditioning Ingleburn - Common Questions

FAQs

For a 4-bedroom estate home in Ingleburn with existing rough-in, a 12.5kW to 14kW ducted system with 5 zones typically runs $9,500 to $12,000 installed. Older homes needing a full retrofit are similar but vary based on roof cavity access and zone count. Fixed price before we start.

Yes. Most estate homes built between 1995 and 2010 have the return air box and some rough-in already in the roof space. Mick checks this at the quote and works with what is there where it makes sense. It usually saves money vs starting from scratch.

It depends on the roof cavity. Homes with a good pitched tile roof can usually take ducted – we check during the quote. If the cavity is too shallow or the layout makes ductwork impractical, two or three well-placed splits are usually the better and cheaper option.

Air Conditioning Advice for Ingleburn Homeowners

Ingleburn gets hot. Summer days can push past 38 degrees, and a system that is just barely keeping up in the morning will struggle badly by 3pm. Size your system properly - do not undersize to save a few hundred dollars upfront and then run it flat-out all day.

For ducted replacements on the older systems, check whether the existing ductwork is still in reasonable condition. Sometimes the ductwork is fine and only the unit needs replacing, which saves money. Ben can tell you this during the diagnostic visit. Do not let a contractor replace ductwork that does not need replacing.
