Covering Como and the Sutherland Shire.
Como's older riverside homes mean plenty of splits, the odd ducted job and salt-air repairs.

Como is a small, leafy spot on the Georges River, tucked between Oyster Bay and Jannali. The homes are older and full of character, a lot of them on steep blocks running down towards the water. We do a good run of splits here, some ducted where the roof allows, and repairs on systems that cop the river air. It's a tidy little suburb and an easy one for us to look after.

30+ Years

Como is mostly older character homes on steep, leafy blocks, some right on the river. Split levels and tricky access mean splits often suit better than ducted. Homes near the water also cop salt air, which is hard on outdoor units.
About Us

Air Conditioning in Como

Chasing air conditioning in Como? We've been doing it since 1991. A multi-head split for a riverside home is around $6,500, a single split about $2,600, and ducted where the roof allows runs $9,000 to $11,000. The salt air off the Georges River is hard on outdoor units, so we fit them to last. 4.8 stars from 280+ reviews.

Como warms up in summer and the older homes here, with their odd levels and big windows, can be hard to keep comfortable. Getting air conditioning Como locals can rely on means working with the home you've got, not the one a builder would draw today.

Older riverside homes on steep blocks

A 3-bedroom Como home is often best done with two or three splits, given the older layout and split levels. If there's decent roof space, a 10kW ducted system will do the whole place nicely.

Not sure which way to go? Our sizing calculator is a good start, or just give us a bell.

Near the river the salt air eats at outdoor units, so we site them sensibly and recommend a yearly clean to keep the corrosion down.

We cover Como and nearby Jannali, Oyster Bay and Sutherland.

FAQs

Air Conditioning Como - Common Questions

FAQs

A single split runs about $1,800 to $3,000 fitted. A multi-head doing two or three rooms is usually $6,500 to $8,500. Ducted, if the roof allows, starts around $7,000. We quote a fixed price up front.

It can. Salt air corrodes outdoor units faster than inland, so siting matters and a yearly clean really pays off. We position the outdoor unit sensibly and treat the coils to slow the corrosion down.

Split-level and steep-block homes often suit splits better, you cool the rooms you use without forcing ducting through awkward spaces. If there’s good roof access, ducted is still on the table. We’ll have a look and tell you straight.

Air Conditioning Advice for Como Homeowners

If you're near the water in Como, build a yearly service into the plan, salt air is hard on outdoor units and a clean keeps them going longer. For the cooling itself, splits suit most of the older homes here.

We size it for your place and quote it fixed, no upsell.
