Covering Bonnyrigg and the Fairfield-Liverpool corridor.
A suburb mid-renewal - 70s-80s originals next to brand-new townhouses, and two very different aircon stories on the same street.

Bonnyrigg is changing street by street - original 70s and 80s homes alongside the new townhouses and homes the renewal has brought. That means two kinds of work side by side: keeping older hard-working systems honest, and properly sizing splits for new townhouses where the builder package stopped at one room. We run both off the same Fairfield-Liverpool corridor we've serviced for decades.

30+ Years

The stock splits between original 1970s-80s brick and fibro homes and the newer townhouse precincts going in through the renewal. Older homes run mixed-age splits and some ageing ducted; the townhouses run builder splits that often cover one room and leave the rest hot.

About Us

Air Conditioning in Bonnyrigg

After air conditioning in Bonnyrigg? Jay's Air Conditioning has been doing it since 1991. A 2.5kW split for a bedroom runs $1,800 to $2,100 installed, a 5kW living room unit $2,500 to $3,000, a three-room multi-head $6,500 to $8,500, and ducted from $7,000 where the home suits. Fault-finding is $250 plus GST, fix quoted first. 4.8 stars from 290+ reviews.

Old home or new townhouse, the honest rule holds: under $600 on a unit under 15 years, repair it. Past both, the money belongs in new gear.

New townhouse, one cold room?

The townhouse builder packages here typically cover the living area and call it done - leaving bedrooms hot through January. The fix is usually a 2.5kW split per bedroom at $1,800 to $2,100, or a multi-head running several rooms off one outdoor unit where the complex rules limit placements. We work within the precinct rules and quote fixed.

The original homes get the triage treatment - test first, fix what's worth fixing, honest numbers on what isn't. Size anything new with the sizing calculator, prices on the pricing guide.

Townhouse bedrooms finished properly

Problem

New townhouse where the builder split covered the living area and left three bedrooms cooking, complex rules allowing one more outdoor unit at most.

Diagnosis

Noah fitted a Panasonic multi-head - one approved outdoor unit, three bedroom heads, pipe runs concealed. $7,200 fixed and the whole townhouse finally works in summer.

Original home split revived

Problem

80s brick home with the living room split fading after years of hard duty, owners assuming replacement.

Diagnosis

Ben tested it - gas fine, coil caked. Chemical clean, filter service and drain flush for $270 and it came back to full strength. The honest answer beat the bigger invoice.

Builder split fault documented and claimed

Problem

Two-year-old townhouse split icing up - a flare joint never tightened at installation, slowly leaking since handover.

Diagnosis

Ben re-flared, pressure tested and regassed for $330, then wrote the install fault up properly so the owners claimed it back through the builder. Fixed and recovered.
