About Us

Air Conditioning Services in Blacktown

We cover Blacktown regularly as part of our western Sydney run – and knowing the area well is part of what makes us useful here. Blacktown has a wide range of housing: 1960s and 1970s brick homes on the established residential streets, fibro cottages on older blocks, newer townhouses in the development areas, and a growing number of units. The housing mix shapes what system actually works on each property. A fibro home with a tight ceiling cavity needs a different approach to a solid brick home with good roof access – and getting that right from the quote stage saves everyone time.

Jay’s Air installs and services air conditioning across Blacktown and the western suburbs corridor. We cover split system installs, ducted systems and all brand repairs. Call (02) 9820 4500 for a free quote.

Air Conditioning Repairs in Blacktown

For Blacktown’s brick homes on standard residential blocks, ducted air conditioning is often viable and gives whole-home coverage from a single outdoor unit. We assess ceiling access on the quote visit – the older homes in the established streets generally have good roof space; fibro homes and newer townhouses are more variable. Where ducted is not practical, a multi-head split running two or three indoor heads from a single outdoor unit is the most efficient alternative and can be installed without structural work.

For units and smaller properties, a single wall split is usually sufficient and is a quick, cost-effective installation. All quotes are free. We price all options and give you a clear fixed price before any work starts.

Air Conditioning Installation & Upgrades in Blacktown

We cover Blacktown and the broader western Sydney area regularly alongside Baulkham Hills and Bella Vista. Our technicians know this part of Sydney well and carry the common parts for all major brands on the service vans – most air conditioning repairs are completed on the first visit without waiting for parts.

All technicians are fully licensed. Free quotes. Panasonic and Daikin specialists. For air conditioning in Blacktown, call (02) 9820 4500.

Panasonic Multi-Head Split Install – Popondetta Road, Blacktown

Problem

Brick veneer home on Popondetta Road – three main living zones (open kitchen/living, main bedroom, second bedroom) with no existing air conditioning. Customer didn’t want the disruption of full ducting in an older home.

Diagnosis

Installed Panasonic 3-head multi-split: one outdoor unit running three wall-mounted indoor heads at 3.5kW each. Single penetration for refrigerant lines, concealed cabling where possible. Whole job done in one day. Supply and install $6,400.

Actron Air Refrigerant Leak – Richmond Road, Blacktown

Problem

Customer’s Actron Air 10kW ducted system was running but struggling to cool the house even on mild days. Had been gradually losing performance over about two summers – a classic sign of a slow refrigerant leak.

Diagnosis

Pressure tested and found a leak at a flare joint on the indoor unit. Repaired the flare, pressure tested to confirm the fix, then recharged to factory spec. System back to full cooling capacity. $420 including refrigerant recharge.

Panasonic 5kW Split Service – Flushcombe Road, Blacktown

Problem

Panasonic 5kW wall unit in a Blacktown unit hadn’t been cleaned since installation – around 4 years. Airflow was noticeably reduced and there was a musty smell when the unit started up.

Diagnosis

Full split system service: cleaned indoor unit coils, fan barrel and filters, cleaned outdoor coil, checked refrigerant pressure, tested across cooling and heating. Musty smell resolved – was a build-up of mould on the evaporator. $265.

Air conditioning FAQs – Blacktown

Common questions from Blacktown homeowners

Air conditioning FAQs – Blacktown

Yes. We install ducted systems in Blacktown and across Western Sydney, including Panasonic, Daikin and Actron Air. Most of the homes we work on in Blacktown are three or four-bedroom brick veneers from the 1970s and 80s – they typically have good ceiling access and are well-suited to ducted systems.

Western Sydney runs hot – summer afternoons in Blacktown regularly hit 38 to 40 degrees. Sizing matters more here than closer to the coast. We calculate capacity based on your floor plan, ceiling height, insulation and window layout before recommending anything. A 5kW split that works fine near the coast can be completely underpowered for a 60-square-metre brick bedroom in Blacktown in January.

Yes. We service, repair and maintain Actron Air ducted systems throughout Blacktown and Western Sydney. We carry common Actron parts on our vans, which means most repairs can be done in a single visit. Actron Air is well-suited to Western Sydney’s climate and we recommend it alongside Panasonic and Daikin.

We’re in Western Sydney regularly. Most repair and service calls in Blacktown are turned around within a day or two. For urgent breakdowns on extreme heat days, call us on (02) 9820 4500 and we’ll do our best to get to you the same day.
